Spring in the air

We're 10 days into spring. Hallie's now has the first five-months of her biography in the can (we just have not had the time to actually write it in the the blogosphere). Alex has transitioned out of his winter parka and into his spring wardrobe.

His Dad broke out the Detroit Tigers colors to recognize the beginning of the yearly ritual celebrating renewal and a free-life. Not passover. Opening day.

That said... we're setting a table for 10 tomorrow night for the 1st seder. That will be Alex's 2nd pesach experience and Hallie's first.

A noticeable theme

Yeah, we're seeing a common theme emerge since Hallie was born. Dawn is delighted and is all smiles. Alex is prone to be a little dour from time-to-time.

Par for the course with a newborn sibling.

Grandparents weekend

Granny & Grad-dad were in town this wknd (joined by bubbe & pop-pop on Friday night and Aunt Julie on Thursday night). Everyone was most impressed with our little peanut.

Purim Tall-tale

Funny thing happened on the way to the Mehgillah reading. Hamen made off with our oldest child.

It's official

Get a load of those boots.

An Apgars Score of 9 and 10 is a pretty good indicator that this kid was in great health at birth.

And she still is.

Bubbe and Hallie

Bubbe was at the hospital from the beginning of labor, and was delighted to greet her 8th grandkid.

Alex & Dawn showed up at the hospital

Alex was a little uncertain about Hallie when they met on Friday. Not uncertain about whether or not he liked her... but kind of uncertain about what kind of toy this little red bean actually is.

It's going to be an interesting transition for big brother.

Alison recovered on Friday

Alison's Friday was spent holding and feeding her new daughter, and greeting her parents--who came up from Philadelphia--and Alex & Dawn--who came over from Brooklyn. Posted by Picasa

The heroic mother and her birth team

When it came to delivering Hallie, Alison kicked butt.

The delivery was orchestrated by the very very young looking attending at NY Cornell Medical Center--Gita Sharma. In the end she was grace under fire and was extremely capable and credible. Posted by Picasa

First look at our little girl

Hallie Sydney Rosenzweig born Feb 22, 2007 at 8:43pm. She was 8 lbs 2 oz at birth. A very big girl for her gestational age. Posted by Picasa
