Five-finger swallow

In these pictures, Granny Peggy is bearing witness to two of the many routines around the Alex world. For example, one of his hallmarks is his attempt to stuff his whole fist into his mouth. If only it were so easy. He gets about half of it in, but seems determined to wedge the rest in somehow.

Second in the list of examples is his unexplained ho-hum response to hugs. While sometimes, he treats hugs with much eagerness and pleasure, sometimes, even his closest folks fail to elicit much more than a shoulder shrug.
